 — When Djamee relaunched his StuddedSpikes line in 2019, it wasn’t just apparel—it was a rebellion. A fusion of French, Gabonese cultural resilience and American street-edge, declared in slogan form: 

“You Are The Accessory And The Accessory Is You.” 

2019 early 2020. Enter Tar, Taek, and Jim—the trio of ambassadors who didn’t just wear the brand but became it. ​

How Modeling and talent agency founder-creative dodged industry landmines, resurrected his punk-fashion legacy, and dropped 2025’s most defiant bilingual bop.

New York City — Djamee leans back in his studio chair, grinning at the hologram of Tar Wacharakrit dancing through a cyber-Bangkok skyline in his new “Bkk X Nyc” video.
"Tar’s AI twin wears exactly the yellow plaid blazer I sketched in 2009," he laughs.
"Some obsessions just won’t die."

It’s a fitting full-circle moment for the artist who’s made resurrection his brand. Fifteen years ago, Djamee launched StuddedSpikes—a line of hand-forged, spike-encrusted masks and collars dripping with Swarovski crystals.

They strutted down BKFW runways and lit up East Village boutiques like Gothic Renaissance. "We were the accessories for downtown vampires," Djamee recalls.

"Then 2012 hit. I realized: You can only bedazzle so many chokers before you become a caricature of your own edge."

He pivoted hard—shuttering StuddedSpikes to build DJAMEE MUSIC, leveraging DJAMEE MODELS AND TALENT which he successfully verified with Casting Networks inc in 2011.

Timing, alas, was not his ally. "The industry was imploding," he says. "Execs fled majors like rats from a sinking yacht." His friend Claude Grunitzky (founder of TRACE magazine) warned him: "Don’t jump into this tsunami." Claude soon sold his magazine to Goldman Sachs and exited the game entirely.

Djamee’s music venture sputtered. He scouted raw talent and hustled distribution deals, but the artists resisted his blueprint: "I studied K-pop systems and Thai indie breakthroughs That have a different formats than in Western countries. And groups like Austin Mahone POP, USA;TF-Boys C-POP (China); BTS K-POP (Korea); Got-7 K-Pop) Korea; GMMTV RECORDS (Thailand Artists)... --structure isn’t the enemy!" He dissolves into laughter.

"They wanted ‘organic vibes.’ Translation: chaos. We parted ways in 2018. No drama—just differing definitions of ‘success.’"

PANDEMIC PIVOTS & GHOSTED DUETS

When COVID-19 froze the world in 2020, Djamee resurrected StuddedSpikes.com—this time as a streamlined merch Print On Demand solution (POD).

"Automation was my revenge," he says. Weekly drops on Amazon / Redbubble replaced hand-stitched agony. He dedicated the hustle to his late mother, Yvette Gondjout, who’d championed his first fashion show in Gabon. "She sold out Libreville’s nightclub and had him do a media blitz .

"I was only 19 and here I was inviting myself in people's houses during primetime TV news. That’s where I learned audacity."

But music still called. In secret, the nerd (who’d locked himself in makeshift studios since age 6) took online singing courses. "My shower acoustics improved dramatically," he deadpans. Then came 2021’s bittersweet plot twist: an Instagram pen pal duet partner. "We’d harmonize via voice notes; his name is "First" he resides in Bangkok Thailand—pure joy," Djamee shares. "Then poof. He landed a new TV contract. Fame’s a helluva filter."

AI, ANTHEMS & ABSOLUTE OWNERSHIP Which brings us to “Bkk X Nyc”—Djamee’s debut as a solo artist and middle finger to industry machinery. "I’ve seen artists sign deals for pennies while labels pocket millions. Never again."

The track fuses Thai poetry with English hooks, mirroring his cross-continental identity. The video? A fever dream of Bangkok traffic jams, floating BTS trains, and AI Tar oozing swagger in that iconic blazer. "I prompted every pixel," Djamee says. "AI’s my collaborator, not my crutch. I dreamt Tar dancing through a custom limo—the machine rendered it breathtaking."

When This Is Riviera magazine called his return "controversial but inevitable," Djamee only smirked. "I’m cursed by being early. StuddedSpikes? Pre-goth renaissance.
AI music? Before the hype. This time?"

He gestures to Tar’s hologram shredding an electric guitar onscreen. "I’m not early. I’m ready."

"People ask why I revived my voice now," Djamee reflects.
"Simple: I’d never ask an artist to walk a path I hadn’t blazed myself." He grins, tapping his temple. "Also, AI finally caught up to my insanity."
